This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to data when you use this site.

Browsing

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent and the pages you request, and may keep it in server logs. See Vercel's privacy policy.

The site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use advertising or cross-site tracking. Pages load no third-party fonts. Tool logos are stored on this site.

Some guides include official tutorial videos from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; the video then plays from youtube-nocookie.com under Google's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or personal identifiers. Its script is served from this site's own domain. We see totals such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types, not individual visitors.

Links to other sites, including affiliate links

Links to tool vendors take you to their sites, where their own policies apply. Some of those links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy. When you click one, the third-party site may set its own cookies to record that you came from us. Affiliate links never change our listings, their order or their verdicts.

Submitting a tool

The Submit a tool form doesn't store your submission on this site. It sends you to GitHub with a prefilled issue, and nothing is filed until you submit it there with your own GitHub account. GitHub issues are public: anyone can see what you write there, your GitHub username and any email address you choose to include. GitHub's own privacy statement applies.

Newsletter and emails

If you sign up, your email address is stored with Resend, our email provider, in our newsletter list. We use it only for the newsletter. When you sign up we send one welcome email with a link to our cheat sheet. We haven't sent a newsletter yet. Every email we send, including the welcome email, includes an unsubscribe link: using it marks your address as unsubscribed in our list, and we stop emailing you. You can also email hello@gamedevaitools.com from the address you signed up with to be removed.

Sponsor payments

Sponsors pay through Stripe. Stripe processes the payment and card details under Stripe's privacy policy; we never see full card numbers. We receive the name, email address and payment details Stripe shares with merchants (such as the amount and date), and use them only to arrange and account for the sponsorship.
